Pros

This is a well-made knife at a reasonable price, especially if you're looking for a ripper type knife. If the heat treat is up to the same qc as the american spyderco folders, even this low cost steel ought to make for a great bargain knife. Despite b...  Read More

Cutting paper is more like chiseling with a serrated edge and this byrd will do that on any serration you choose. Unlocking button on the spine works like a charm.

This claw design is great for opening any box. Cuts rope, boxes, wire, etc. What this knife keeps is the quality edge for cutting through the performance lines where i might be entangled on the foredeck of the sailboat.

It has a slim profile with a ribbed grip.

Cons

It feels like a poorly made flea market poorly made knive. Overall a poor imitation of a great knife. Absolutely junk, very surprised with the spyderco brand.

The blade is not stable when moved side from side. It hurts your finger due to the fact the the inner edges are not rounded. Closing is a similar problem, though more precarious because i could potentially cut myself.

Great quality super sharp when new and held up well

Its just not up to par with the spiderco tenacious or even close

If i were going to buy another serrated blade i might splurge for the matriarch

Price

What a great design and great price

This seems well worth the price point and then some

Dont be fooled by the low price

Competitiveness

I surprisingly like it better than the traditional spyderco hole because it allows more of my thumbs edge to engage in the hole

It doesnt have the fancy steel or thick handles of the more expensive spyderco knives but this is a very handy budget offering

Although this is a spyderco i somewhat expected budget quality at the budget price point for the imported product

I have some spyderco salt series serrated but i am not taking those to work
