Pros

The spyderco byrd rescue knife meets all the requirements! The rounded blunt end makes it safer.

The knife fits very comfortably in my hand and the blade is fairly long. I carry this knife when paddle boarding in the gulf of mexico. Holds up well when not using as a hammer or screwdriver.

This thing is awesome and i'm glad i got it. My coworker frequently asks for it to * further and is always delighted with it.

Cons

The handle is some type of hard plastic and not fiberglass-reinforced nylon (frn) like on genuine spyderco knives. It is ok as an inexpensive knife. The knife is now very dangerous to use.

The warranty lists byrd as manufacturer and spyderco as importer/distributor. It is designed by spyderco but produced in china by a company called byrd.

Carried a spyderco salt for a couple years it was a fantastic knife

No it’s not a real spyderco knife but is their madeinchina byrd budget line

Just buy a spyderco it it’s a no brainer
