Stays on all the time and temp spread is about 6 degrees so if you set it to cool at 70 it will allow it to get to 76 before cooling back down to 70

The compressor makes loud thump sound when it turns on and off and shakes the unit and my old one did not same model so id suggest getting the extended warranty too

Knocking off 1 star because it only has 1 exhaust path so it pumps the inside air outside as it runs

Some find that more aesthetic but i find that it causes drafts around the edges of the sunroom that are the outside temp

Bonus that the water runs from the evaporator to the condenser this improves is performance mesurably
