According to the chloramine. Sprite filters are only certified to nsf standard 177 for aesthetic effects (specifically free chlorine removal), but the filter media should be effective on other contaminants as well.

This thing is amazing. Looks & works great. This is the 4th or 5th brand i have used and i love it.

The filter is heavy and very attractive. It is heavier than i expected, but the quality is phenomenal. Brass casing is solid.

Hallelujah and a a full metal filter housing. Very durable and strong. Great design, very sturdy and good output.

Unscrewed the casing to find some sand-like particles on the filter. Took it down, took it apart. Put it back together.

    I honestly did not notice much difference in the water other than eliminating a very faint chlorine smell that i noticed before installing this

    Since this is a carbon filter and does not do well in eliminating chloromines i combined this in series with a vitamin c filer

    The water does not feel much softer but again hard to tell without using better measurements tools and the water in ne seattle wasnt too bad to start with

    On a lot of plumbing fixtures that include an inserted washer the fixture will leak if you use teflon tape on the threads
