Pros

Glass rain gage. Lasts allot longer than plastic rain gages. Metal holder is not particularly sturdy, but it meets our needs.

Glass tube is easily removable for storage or to pour out rain cache. Simple measurement of rainfall- comes with a small bracket for two screws. Easy to read numbers.

Cons

Gage flask is very thin glass, and not accurately made. Too cheap too breakable. The final (and biggest) problem is how brittle the glass is.

Small rain gauge is too small to measure rainfall accurately. Metal holder tends to scrape the numbers off the glass when you take it in/out of the holder. Difficult to read small amounts of rain accumulation below the 2 inch mark.
