I run the stick on the stain (front and back side of fabric) and then toss into the laundry bag until we can do a load 9f washi've used this on my kids tennis shoes, bed spreads, quilts, jackets, table clothes.

It takes 2-3 washes to remove grease from a dark colored shirt.

Directions say put it on one hour to 7 days before washing.

Like this stuff just rub it into your stain and throw it in the wash, or set it aside till you are ready to wash, it does not discolor your clothing.
