The vibration is all that's needed. I love how it has a vibrate option to give a small reminder.
I have a 6 month old sheperd that also wears one, he knows by the sound only to stop, not often i have to zap him.
Our family has a 2 1/2 year old tibetan terrier named bella. He is so much calmer around cars and now we can actually reward him. The only thing you must do is charge both the collar and the controller out of the box before you use it.

I finally had to use the shock feature when the dog went onto the road rural road with an 80 kph speed limit this training did not last long just a couple of weeks i do pull it out maybe every 6 months or so just to tune up the training but no shocks are required

I bought these because my 6 year old boxer attached my 7 week old puppy when we brought him home they have worked for that reason and havent had a fight yet

Our husky would not respond to dogtra arc at maximum power 120 but he responds to this at the 1 setting

It is for very stubborn dogs so make sure it’s not too powerful for your dog

We have a german sheppard who didnt react much to the automatic bark control collars that were still properly snug around the neck
