I think a tempurpedic mattress and this frame would be ideal for a frail elderly person with fragile skin who needs an adjustable almost hospitallike bed but perhaps a wide platform on one side of the bed might be useful if that is the purpose youre looking at this bed

The frames do not lock together rather the caster wheels lock in place on the frames sidebyside

We did look at all the other options but could not see paying 10k for a bed
