Pros

This unit is larger in your hand and is much easier to pull out of the plug. It's very smooth and fits in all plugs now. The receptacle tester is very convenient. The width limits the exterior outlet access around the home.

The unit appears well constructed. The black areas are soft rubber or plastic and easy to grip.

The colored leds are bright and easy to read. The color of the code lights is fantastic, and the additional features of checking for bad ground and gfci are great.


Cons

I reset the breaker and it did it again two more times. Just don't plug it into an afci protected outlet.

This tester is a useless paperweight. Poor quality. Pricey junk. Don't buy this is my best advise.

    Ground for this tester is good when the resistance is less than 10 ohms

    If this tester shows correctgreen light for some outlet then the connection is correct from all reviewers experience that practically means about 100 probability none kind of trustful review shows the opposite suggestion

    All misreadings of this tester from all reviews i did read are about gfci outlets which regular tester shows as correct but this tester shows bad ground that logically looks like we are talking about 10 ohms qualitythreshold limit margin of grounding so both opposite sides are correct and the difference is that this outlet is grounded not good enough

    I personally prefer good grounding so ive just bought this tester and to test this tester ive bought also the sperry instruments single led indicator stop shock ii gfci outlet tester which doesnt has such misreadings
