Pros
Great for the homeowner. The quality of the tester is great and the price was right. As a bonus, it also includes a button to test gfci functionality.
It's electrifying - or at least tells me what is! Easy to use. Battery saver. Better than a dongle and a light bulb.
Cons
It feels very unsafe to use and operate. I speculate the battery may be dead but i check the battery voltage is 1. Great idea horrible execution.
If you need something to beep while you get electrocuted, this is it. Once the lamp is on, this thing detects it from half a foot away. It goes off 6 away from wire sometime more.
I wish the probe tip worked reliably when inserted into a live vac outlets. It appears that the press button for the gfi test is permanently pressed. The plug tester is nice but it is the only highlight of this product.
