Circuit breaker' overload protection on the lower current scale works really great. All of them love the resettable fuse. In the life of the meter, it pays for itself just in savings for the fuse replacement costs.
This one replaces my old meter, love this digital one, it is more accurate and very easy to use. This meter travels in a tool backpack and has survived the rude use it gets.

Quality
Ive only had this for a short time but it appears to be a quality multimeter for the price range
I would recommend this meter to anyone looking for a quality meter for a lot less money
Because of this and because of the above mentioned problem with the leads i always carry two dm2as in my tool bag

On the negative side are the test leads

With repeated flexing they break where they go into the probe handles

Unfortunately the leads do not unplug from the meter so to replace them you have to split the meters case remove the circuit board you need a 0 phillips screwdriver for this unsolder the old broken leads and solder in the new leads a touchy procedure and not one to be performed in the field

Often times instead of doing that i do surgery on the probe handles to reattach the broken leads also a touchy procedure

If sperry changed the design to give the meter plugin leads the meter would be almost perfect

Another negative is that except when the meter is new the slide switch doesnt always make good contact when selecting ohms

So before taking a resistance reading you have to short the test probes together to see if the reading is low like
