Pros & Cons
Pros
First photo shows the sewn (but not finished) seam on a 15' sof kayak. Pre-drill heavy leathers with a 1/16 drill bit. Great, easy to read, product and stitching instructions.
If that's the case, don't fret, it is super easy to do. Love the simplicity of it. It’s incredibly simple to use.
The speedy stitcher is quality or * with its competitor. For the price, it makes pretty quick work of those chores. This little thing paid for itself in a month.
Cons
Instructions aren't just inadequate, they're actually misleading. Big fat liars. Obviously i'm not the only one who has had this problem judging by the other reviews.
Full-sized regular thread always breaks within 3-4 stitches. Difficult to get stitches straight. Needles snap way to easily and replacements cost as much as the original entire kit.
Highlights
Quality
Sturdy and the needle won’t pop out
Simple effective sturdy nice wooden handle for a change i get tired of everything being made of plastic
Those bags take a beating and the seams started coming apart on all 4 of them
The directions were not clear and were so small that they were very difficult to read even if they had been written clearly
Price
Saved me 2k for awning replacement and 125 for mattress topper cover
Saved me hundreds of dollars when i fixed the stitching on a seam myself
Bought a cheaper chinese knockoff and it worked poorly
Good price too and it comes with enough waxes thread
Shipping
Arrived on time packaged well and everything promised was there
Pool service is getting harder to get in a timely manner where i am
But i got the sail fixed back up and we made it to our destinations
Competitiveness
It seems no one is willing to sell just the empty bobbins which are unique in size and width compared to all sewing machines
I ordered a different awl a more expensive awl
