Pros

Good military sci-fi series. Glynn stewart has written many series and most all of them are in a different universe - this is extraordinary. I remember finding four, which means there are probably more. The next book in the series is already in the qu...  Read More

It is a good thing it was friday night/saturday morning. Nevertheless, a worthwhile read. It has a few rough spots, but it hangs together well.

Along with the big story of a new cag and new captain, there are side stories about fixing a situation where crewmembers are being *.

These characters are wonderfully detailed, 3-dimensioned people you can care about. Amazing pace with credible characters at all level.

The story is an absolute burner! It feels like the protagonist can do no wrong all the time. The story itself is gripping!

Cons

Everyone in this book apparently speaks softly and/or quietly. The author is some sort of wannabe military type using science fiction to fulfill its own misbegotten needs. It’s ok military sci-fi.
