Pros & Cons
Pros
Great product. These sticks, and a little shock twice a week and we are good! It’s such a great product. Highly recommend it.
Top inlet/flow feature of the spa frog. Water flows into the floating weir in the skimmer basket (at the filter intake) it is amazing the difference in water clarity from the back yard fountain.
It supplements bromine, which i apply via a floating applicator. Allows reduced chlorine or bromine usage to maintain sanitary hot tub/ spa conditions.

If you have the 2person 240 sportster model you need to know that this has a long stem that must be 100 removed for it to slide easily inside your filter
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
You cannot twist off the stem which was frustrating
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
There arent any instructions telling you that you can break off the stem
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
At first i was able to snap off most of the stem by hand but i was left with a small nub that made it impossible to fit into the filter
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
I cut the remaining nub with a serrated kitchen knife but i wouldnt recommend it for obvious safety reasons
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
If i were to buy a replacement i would look for a model without the stem

I have no idea whether mineral sanitizers keep spa water clean with half the chlorine which you still need or whether this is just more stuff for hot tub owners to spend their money on
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
Since spa manufacturers recommend mineral sanitizers even if you buy them from someone else then maybe theres something to them
