It seems like it will hold up nicely, i've had it a few months and it's lost most of the scent by now but it's still functioning like when i first got it, plus it's actually bigger than inexpcted, since one review said it was so small.

The flax distributes pretty well because it's very full, so i never have an issue with the beads accumulating too much on the edges.
