The reel works so smooth. I have ran 5lb trout line up to 20lb braid with no issues. One thing i would recommend is get one of those fuzzy wristband covers and put that over the spool to keep the line contained.

The quality is impressive and perfect for a getaway near a lake or river and you want to sink a line. For the price, this exceeds all my expectations.

Cons

The reel is terrible too you can have a baby bass on and it feels and acts like a 20 pounder is on there. Now i have a pole that no longer fits in a backpack. Reel froze after 2 days use.
