The material of the clip is rubber so it doesnt scratch the air grid nor the phone

You can also put the plate under your phone case or stick the plate to the back of your phonecase from outside which is the worst option because the plate is a plain black painted sheet of metal

The only flaw of this kind of holders is that your phone position is dependent on the air vent grid place in your car because the phone can only be positioned rotated in one vertical surface you just cant face it when the grid is not in the right place

Holds up fairly well unless youre a crazy driver and plan to be all over the road this should definitely be a good buy for your handsfree phone needs
