My hummingbirds seem to love this recipe. It is very easy to make. And it is very economical too. I only have to mix for a minute or two for most of the sugar to dissolve.
Cons
The recipe for nectar is simply 1 part sugar to 4 parts boiling water. It contains nothing else but pure refined sugar. Just use organic white cane sugar. Read the ingredients before 100% sucrose.

I had no problems with switching to this brand and my hummingbirds responded well to the change
The hummingbirds love this stuff more than any other kind ive tried and i like that its not red
It does take a bit to get it to fully dissolve with cold water and it isnt really significantly cheaper than some brands of premixed food
It is hands down a better choice then most of the other prepackaged humming bird nectars or mixes

Last year i purchased a large bottle of the premade hummingbird nectar a different brand and though it did save time like one minute the birds did not drink it
