Pros

It's healthy for the birds, contains no fillers and no sugar and no artificial coloring. It stays fresh in the fridge for a pretty long time. And while this certainly is more expensive than table sugar, i know i'm not wasting a half-gallon or more of ...  Read More

My hummingbirds seem to love this recipe. It is very easy to make. And it is very economical too. I only have to mix for a minute or two for most of the sugar to dissolve.

Cons

The birds love it and its easy to dissolve freshly made for them

Easy to use and comes with a scoop for measuring

Once the hummers discover this stuff they return multiple times a day

This product and refined pure cane sugar have no preservatives so your humming bird feeders should be watched for any spoilage

Price

Hummingbirds love sugarfound sugar was easy to use and much cheaper

Refined pure cane sugar is the same as this product and less then half the price for a much larger amount

The convenience is worth the cost to me

I probably will not buy it again due to the price

Packaging/appearance

I like that i can make this 34as needed34 instead of storing a bunch of antattracting hummingbird food

Competitiveness

I had no problems with switching to this brand and my hummingbirds responded well to the change

The hummingbirds love this stuff more than any other kind ive tried and i like that its not red

It does take a bit to get it to fully dissolve with cold water and it isnt really significantly cheaper than some brands of premixed food

It is hands down a better choice then most of the other prepackaged humming bird nectars or mixes
