Todays tires and rims are becoming more difficult to take off and on and plastic levers arent up to the task a lot of the times

Quikstik can be used by itself but some tires and rims dont have enough space to squeeze the quikstik between instead you use two soma steel core tire levers to get the first section done and lock the levers opposite end hook around two adjacent spokes insert the quikstik between the space of the tire and rim that the two levers created pull one of the levers out then simply slide the quikstik around the rim and the other lever will just fall off

Do it right and you can have a tire off in 10 to 15 seconds

That being said if you dont have super hard bread tires like enduro or downhill tires you should not buy those soma steel core tire levers mainly because they are heavier and slippery

For a tool you keep at home i would recommend you the pedro downhill tire lever

Note on the package the manufacturer states that there are improved version with steel all the way to the tip but notice that some reviewers who recently purchased those i guess the new improved version complained about the tip breaking off
