Pros
The fit and finish are great. The bronze finish looks nice. It is easy to install. Very solid and handsome.
The quality of this item is much better than the same 'looking' product at the big diy stores. This item works great. The good news is that it still works.
The base unit unscrews by hand to expose the three screw holes. The long piece with the nut screws into the larger piece and is used to mount it into drywall.
Installation is easy with simple tools. Some people get confused by how to unscrew the doorstop. The seller provides installation instructions right here in the listing photos. My only complaint is no instructions, which would have made install easier... Read More
Cons
No instructions and base is impossible to remove. Doesn't seem to be threaded or magnetic. If it's magnetically attached it's too strong to pull apart. The expansion anchor is very cheap and would not hold the post down.
This is possibly the lowest quality product i've ever had the misfortune of purchasing. Very dissatisfied with this purchase. It was worthless for me.

On the other door stop the threads on the short piece were very shallow

When i pulled the door to separate the magnets the cover of the short piece would disengage from the piece screwed into the baseboard

The first one was hard to get the threads loose on the base like they were locked

I pre drilled the holes to mount this stop and the first screw broke off in the oak floor

We bought these to hold the kids doors open open door policy unless changing clothes
