    I later realized that it works fine in darkness when connected to the solar panel and is sensitive to light and will not work in day light

    However the attachment at the back was unsatisfactory so i had to secure it in a different way

    Read instructions as it does tell you that in daylight the light does not work if connected to solar panel

    If you you need light when panel is charging then you have to unplug it from panel
