I've had Achlorhydria (no stomach acid at all) for 4 years running. I took this and my stomach acid returned completely in a matter of hours. It just switched on with my second dose. This tells me Candida is the real culprit behind Hypochlorhydria and Aclorhydria. I should be elated and I am, but I'm also very angry. Why? I'm angry at all the doctors I visited in those 4 years who had no clue. Two of which were gastroenterologist. I've learn a lot in these 4 years though. I've come to the conclusion there ain't no such animal as IBS. IBS is just a euphemism for we don't know what your ailment is, and we're too lazy to find out. When a doctors tells you that you have IBS that should be your cue that he is incompetent and you should leave immediately. You really likely have Candida. It's not even hard to pinpoint Candida as the culprit. Like I said, I've learned a lot in these 4 years. The whole key in solving the puzzle that is Hypochlorhyria or Apochlorhydria is paying real close attention to your body and understanding exactly what is happening inside and when. For instance, if you have Candida you will also have Gastritis as well. Notice how your doctor has never told you the cause of your gastritis in the first place because he/she doesn't know. You have to learn to distinguish between the symptoms of Candida, Gastritis, and SIBO (apart from yeast). The symptoms for all three are quite similar and overlap. But if you're paying close attention you can distinguish between all 3 as follows:1. Candida: Ridiculous amounts of gas bloating. Diarrhea 4-10 times a day. Pain associated with gas. Bloating extends to the lower abdomen as well as upper. Pain is from gas.2. Gastritis: Stomach is swollen but no real gas. Swelling is in the upper abdomen. A different kind of pain than Candida. You''ll be able to tell it's inflammation and not pain from gas you're feeling.3. SIBO: Food is fermenting in your stomach because you have no acid. Not painful but quite annoying. It will feel like there is a rock in your stomach that is not going anywhere anytime soon. Some gas but nowhere near s much as when Candida is out of control.You have to treat all 3 of these. Capryl, GSE, or Oregano Oil will work for Candida. You have to be careful though. When Candida dies it reportedly releases some 79 toxins. You're going to have to take something for liver support. I've been on Betaine HCL for a very long time. One of the benefits of Betaine is it detoxes the liver. Any side affects you think you are feeling from the Capryl will not be caused by Capryl. Those effects you are feeling are the result of a Candida die-off and toxins being released. I was taking 64 600mg Betaine HCL tablets per day so my liver should be very healthy. I've only experienced nausea a coupe of times for 2-3 minutes when taking this product. Another thing you have to watch for is you need to cease Betaine HCL about 12 hours before taking this product. The reason for this is because your stomach acid will return in full without warning. I got caught with a stomach full of Betaine HCL (20 capsules) when my acid secretion suddenly started up. That caused acid reflux real bad from way too much acid. I burned my esophagus real good. When acid secretion returns remember you also have gastritis. That acid is going to irritate your stomach because you do not have a healthy stomach. It's going to hurt and you will see swelling. Capryl will not be the cause. The cause will be your stomach acid returning to a stomach that is inflamed. You might have to use an H2 blocker or Prilosec until your stomach heals of the gastritis sufficiently. SIBO might require an antibiotic. There's a lot of talking about using Manuka honey for the SIBO but that is not going to work. It's not going to work because of the sugars in the honey and you have Candida. Giving sugar to Candida is like throwing gasoline on a fire. Yeast levels explode once you add sugar. The yeast population doubles in size every 30 minutes. That honey will be fuel for the yeast and you'll see it in the size of your stomach as well as feel it. You have to stay away from sugar for weeks until you get the flora back to where it should be with probiotics. This is every thing I can think of you absolutely need to know to avoid 4 years of misery like I endured. I also wrote this so that you won't have to deal with these incompetent doctors who have don't know a thing about this ailment and you can recover quickly. Read Less
