The description said that these lights could either be screwed into the stair risers or attached with doublesided tape

Also if you attached them with tape you would need to pull the tape off and apply new tape every time you needed to change the batteries

However the tape that comes with the velcro is not strong enough to stay attached about half of my 24 lights have fallen off in just a month so i have reattached them with gorilla tape which should hopefully last longer

These are placed in a shared alley driveway and we dont want to bother the neighbors but around the corner of this fence it can be very dark when getting into or out of a car at night

The steps are cement so i didn’t use the mounting hardware included instead i used adhesive strips
