I first put it out in the sun to charge then i brought it in to figure out how to turn it on

There was no switch visible but on the box it says switch is inside for saving power during shipment

I first unscrewed the base to find the switch it turns out you have to unscrew the face of the lamp where the two leds and motion detector are in order to find the onoff switch

This is how it worksduring the day the lamp charges in the sun and stays offat night it detects the darkness and turns itself on with a dim light to save energywhen it detects movement the light gets brighterthe bright lighting stays on for 13 seconds and then turns down to dim again if there is no more movementalso the box says 180 lumens but the listing says 300
