The lights have a button which allows them to be turned completely off on dim until a motion is depicted and the brightens up or they can remain bright constantly

In the bright mode the range is limited to 15 feet or less which for us is ok

These lights work great they give off good accents to the side of my house that was previously very dark

The solar panel is also pretty large to ensure it fully charges the internal batteries

Of course the amount of time the lights will work will depend on the quality of the charge they received so be sure to position the panel somewhere where it isnt in the shade and adjust it to face south if possible for maximum charge

Of course its brighter at the start of the evening than it is by early morning and it goes off when the sun rises and starts its charge cycle again
