Theres one bulb strangely placed close to the solar panel very far from the others theres a long stretch of wire between that bulb and the rest so i swapped the two which is better anyhow since the single bulb by the panel looked really odd and out of place

I hung them during the day and they did come with a bit of a charge and i could see immediately that they flickered

Im not sure why and couldnt identify where the short is but ive confirmed the wire is firmly plugged into the solar panel and that nothing is loose

For those who need detailed measurements for planning purposes the light string is 19 6 from the first bulb to the last bulb the total light display and there is a 4 5 cord from the first bulb to the 6 pigtail on the solar collector

So the collector has to be mounted about 5 from where you want the first bulb
