Cons having to recalibrate the scanner with each separate object to be scanned

Usually what i do to get accurate parts to fit existing toys is to make a copy of the original and than begin sculpting over the original with two part epoxy putty and than begin working the sculpt off the original

Sometimes the putty would fuse with the part so i have to break said piece off just to get the new sculpt

Now i did try scanning several different objects at different sizes shapes and colors and this is what i found after all those scansproscheap and easy to assembleproduces high density water tight meshes in its own software so no having to import to mesh mixer and make water tighteasy to operatesmall foot printcheaper than other 3d scanners on the marketconshas trouble scanning white and black objects

So if you are looking for a budget scanner than i would highly recommend this scanner but i wouldn’t suggest it if you are looking to copy technical parts
