They dont move while youre walking on them but are easy to lift to clean the mats themselves and the stairs underneath

Really pleased with these carpet treads feel quite sturdy on the steps i have give 5 stars for ease of cleaning but i havent actually tried to wash them yet they go in wash on a cold delicate cycle so hoping they will come out ok

The treads are thick and easy to apply i did use carpet tape but that is to stop my 2 year old taking them off if it was a child free house i doubt u would need them
