Pros
It is light and a very good blanket on its own. It is better than any comforter or regular blanket i have owned. It's fleece, don't expect it to be the softest thing youve ever felt, but it is nice.
Make sure there are 2 electric sockets in proximity to the bed o that both sides can be plugged in. It warms up immediately. It's not overly hot on the top to touch but heats you up nicely and keeps you warm all night.
The wire difference alone is good justification for the price.
Cons
Best heating is when it's folded. Didn't even last 4 months. It's hard to recommend a heated blanket that doesn't last more than a few months.

We need to know the voltage supplied by the power supply

We cant measure it since the controller shuts down as soon as it detects an open circuit and we have to unplug the blanket to get at the pins

However it is clear the power supply uses a switching regulator
