Pros

Bought this to age some mead that i made. Flavored some cheap whiskey for 10 days in a glass jar with peach and vanilla. Cheap whiskey becomes good whiskey!

The stand holds the barrel fine but it is slightly off. It looks great as well and is solidly built. It is so nice, just richer than before. Thank you for shipping out a replacement barrel.

The steps to prep are included and simple to follow. Had a few questions, and those were answered by seller within a day or two. Followed instructions, sealed perfect in 1 day.

Cons

Cork for spigot and top cork are very soft and seem like they would leak. Spigot is junk and does not seal. Leaking appears to be seeping through the grain of the wood of the spout.

Looks like it was just hacked together and gooped up with glue. Pictures show other flaws that are not as pictured in the advertisement.

Turns out the barrel was defective. Contacted the seller again, quite * this time. Took a while to get wax, and emails asking for shipping dates were never returned.
