The ticking noise is optional, but useful if you prefer to lie in bed and listen for the ticking sound for reassurance. You go to bed knowing that if anything happens you will be alerted and that means you will sleep better.
Minimal marks when on nappy direct on skin, with rolling to front, same as a pair of socks.
Once you get used to fastening it on, it's pretty easy. It's easy to use and dependable. This snuza one is sooo much easier to use, no app required and really user friendly.

Snuza allows us to sleep soundly in the knowledge that any risk will wake us and her. It gives calmness to the baby's mother. One of the toughest things is of course being settled when you child is asleep.
Cons
The pre-alarm goes off by itself when baby is awake, feeding or sleeping. It is far too easy to go off and even when the baby is clearly breathing it still starts beeping. I need a replacement device or a refund.

I was worried this would fall off as my baby is so active in her sleep literally kicks her legs up and down and flails around however it hasnt budged once as long as you follow the instructions on how to put it on in the manual

It flashes green with every breath or movement and flashes red if baby hasnt breathed in 3 seconds

Actively tries to wake baby up after a certain amount of time

Cons alarm isnt very loud so may not be heard if baby is in own room asleep on stomach etc without an audio monitor

Does seem it may be uncomfortable for baby if they were sat being winded or something similar however this can be resolved by just taking the device off during feeds

Bringing a newborn home was daunting enough without then realising that i couldnt sleep myself once the baby fell asleep as i was a nervous wreck watching every breath baby took

I bought this for our daughter to put my mind at ease when she is sleeping we’ve used it since birth and last night she’s now 11 weeks old it alarmed i jumped up and felt her chest and she wasn’t breathing
