The products directions recommend to spray once under the tongue and once to the back of the throat but it was so effective at temporarily tightening up the tissue under my tongue that it actually hurt to spray it there and it hurt for awhile under my tongue because it was so effective so now i only spray two full sprays at the back of my throat
