Pros

They work best if they're under both the sheet and mattress pad. The mattress pad absorbs most of the moisture and the underpad keeps the mattress totally dry--as long as it's placed well. I have an elderly cat that likes to pee in a box.

Cons

No cotton for absorbency in. These are not only terribly non-absorbent but they tear incredibly easily. The plastic also does not glide well across bedding. Allows urine to pass all the way thru to mattress topper.
