    The plastic hinges on the flaps that secure the lid to the container are paper thin and in fact as i was washing it for the first time i discovered that one of the flap hinges was torn halfway off

    I would give it 3 stars since the tear is jagged and actually looks more like the flap was cut by a serrated blade during manufacturing as opposed to tearing due to a poor design

    I understand the concept of cost effectiveness and why amazon prefers not to pay to ship certain items back but honestly i always feel a little guilty when that happens since in many cases such as this one the item is still usable
