However one of the lids for the 1 cup container has a flap that is completely broken off

I believe this is because of the way it was packaged in the product box

Although they are microwave safe after the dish comes out of the microwave if you snap down the lid on the dish the heat sucks in the center of the lid and creates a bow in the lid and it does not go back to shape which caused the latches to no longer hook correctly
