It presses quite hard, but you can try pull some of your weight off it to reduce the pressure. The heat could be a bit stronger & the massager for the lower back go down a tad more.
The effect is brilliant and really eased the pain and discomfort of my lower back strain. I suffer from bad posture and it really helped me in many ways. I like the “spot function’ where it can stop and massage a particular sore spot.
Cons
This is not helpful and i cannot travel that far. What a trash.

Before i bought this massage seat i read other reviews closely as i was concerned about whether this product would be suitable for a tall person as i’m 6’1

If i’m sitting upright the massagers don’t fully reach the uppermost area of my shoulders but if i adjust my position lean back or lay the unit over a sofa arm i can definitely get the massager to reach the uppermost area

However the instruction manual also states you can put a cushion on the seat in order to better reach your lower back

I didnt realise that i would have to find a dedicated chair for the massager to sit
