Upon receipt very good packaging it did not disappoint and it looks superb

I also have a smsl sa98e that was upgraded by a friend of mine replaced capacitors better psu and lowered the gain
I took multiple attempts to get right but now the sound is fantastic using a nuforce u dac 3 and fostex mini sub
Works as it says and lots of volumewould recomend

I would recommend switching out the mains plug half of the power lead as the included one is very cheap and not something id trust

Dropped a star because the quality control could be better the first unit broke after about 20 minutes of use the second has a loose piece inside it and a slight scratch on the front panel although it doesnt affect the actual use of the unit sat on my desk

Mine came with a fused uk legal plug which seems to be a common cause for concern
