For some it may not matter but i use these in a small cabin with a small solar system so if power usage is an issue look for a lower wattage strip

There are three lights every two inches and the strip can be cut at 2 inch intervals

Even though i cleaned the mounting surface with alcohol and firmly pressed the strips against the surface the next day they were hanging
