Pros
Pool heated to 87 degrees on sunny days. Area around the pool gets 9 hours of sunlight per day. If you have a roof you can get your pool heated just fine with this system. On sunny days, this heater will have 8-10 degrees of temperature gain.
Water at the bottom is still chillier than that but these things work! Built a manifold to run both heaters on separate loops. Water is about 10 degrees warmer after circulating through the panels. Will save you a ton of money over gas heating system.... Read More
The inexpensive pump, does a terrific job! I use a 1000 gal pump to feed the panels which are on my roof.
I have a 7800 gal 'portable' pool, that's hard-plumbed. Pool used intex xtr 12’ x 24’ above ground (8500 gallons, saltwater) panel four 2x20 panels on garage roof, east facing w full sun 9 am to 6 pm.
Putting them in the sun to flatten them out over a few days helps. Another tip - put at least 3 or 4 layers of teflon tape around each joint. It seems like their customers might have a variety of mounting/installation configurations, and it'd be nice ... Read More

Slow pump to not overwhelm the solar heater. Worked well for 2 summers. It always leaks somewhere.
