But at the very least they will just go limp and stop stabilizing because they cant hold the device due to it being unbalanced

Adding the microphone put the gimbal off balance and it wouldnt stay up

I had given up hope of using this microphone but when i saw these counter weights i ordered them immediately in hopes that they would work

You can see from the pictures and that they balanced the phone even when the gimbal was off
