It does send a warning to turn off the water to the sprayer when not in use to avoid water leakingdamage

Im not sure that there is a better place for it to be as far as the engineering of the product but still wanted to note this for potential users

We are careful to shut off the water at the water supply after each use and then purge the hose and sprayer so that there is no residual pressure after use

However the one we purchased in 2017 is now beginning to leak at the handle
