Pros & Cons
Pros
The quilted pad uses velcro to attach to the perch so it is removable for laundering. The wooden base is held in place extremely securely. Almost like an oven mitt or hot pad.
He loves to sit on his 'pedestel', and likes to spring off it as well, which causes the perch to dislodge. It helps that i have it positioned at a window so she can lie there and look out at the bird feeder.
Cons
As other reviewers have said, the quilted cover is not secure. The way this is attached is by sliding it on the post, but there's no latch to keep it from sliding back.
My cats are smallish and don't do anything you wouldn't expect a cat to do. The pad is way too thin, thus not providing a comfortably place for my cat to sit or nap! The cover is unusable because it doesn't stay attached and the cat just slides off. T... Read More
Perch slips off very easily. Although it has a cushion. Perch itself is also awkwardly shaped and really small.
Highlights
Quality
I bought this for a different scratcher with the intention of modifying it which worked well
Easy to put together great price and the cats love it
I originally bought the post for the esthetics and height so i didn’t want to make it gaudy with the red cushion anyway
And i think it actually looks much nicer in my home with the wood showing and not the red cushion which does not match my decor
Competitiveness
My nearly 20lb cat sleeps up there
