Pros

Wall plate snaps in place, providing a nice and clean look. Installation went smoothly. All you need is a screwdriver.

Homekit switches in the big box retailers run around $45 to $50. It has a nice matte finish which makes it look not cheap.

Apple homekit compatible. Single pole switch that can be used in circuits with a single switch typically controlling lights only. Still uses wifi and counts as a device to make sure your settings allows as many devices to connect to the router. Works ...  Read More

Super convenient to turn lights on and off even when not home. You can manually operate the switch but also have homekit operate it. This dimmer goes all the way to 1% of brightness with the homekit, which i really like!

Cons

It's annoying to keep buying junk. One switch sometimes works when you physically press the switch and sometimes doesn't.

Homekit itself is very glitchy and frequently any/all of your devices can show up as “device not responding”. It is right next to where our wifi router is and still no connection. Sometimes resetting/rebooting/power cycling them and repeating the setu...  Read More

Not a downfall but a word of advice these don’t work if you have two switches that control one light

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The switch i replaced luckily still had the neutral wire accessible and there was enough room in the recessed housing

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Well it’s only of importance if you’d like to rely more on apple’s homekit system as the switch actually supports it

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

In fact i swapped out 2 koogeek switches in place of these as they are just more consistent

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I don’t know if this is common to smart switches but this switch fills the entire box and there is barely enough room for the wire nuts to fit in a standard electrical box

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I wound up as you can see from pictures having to put pigtails on each of the wires to get it all to fit and it still had to be forced in

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

It would have been much better had the switch come with terminals instead of wires out the back

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Then i wouldn’t have needed as many wire caps
