The answer is faded underneath and only when you press the bottom you can see the answer

As for the other complaints of seeing or not seeing the numbers with no batteries or light source there was a fine balance on how darklight the number underneath can be so yea at some light its visible but my kids still try and memorize and not trying to cheat themselves and see if they can read it

I have tried to take pictures to show what it looks like pressed and not pressed
