Pros & Cons
Pros
The hults burk axe is one of the nicest tools that i own. It's as sharp as a razor out of the box. I keep it inside to ensure the head will not rust and would suggest oiling it regularly if it is stored outside in the elements.
Same goes for the scandinavian forest, especially when cutting hickory. Hatchet size gives more control than a full size splitter, for making kindling and even shavings to start the fire.
Cons
Leather sheath is torn from the heal of the bit cutting through it. These are not deal breakers folks, but we're not talking about a 50-100 dollar hatchet.
Highlights
