I have narrowish narrow feet (size 7 to 7 1/2) and do have a high in-step. They fit comfortably and keep my feet dry.

Will be returning today. Alas, had to return. The smell of the plastic is overwhelming. Nope, they still stink!

The tight top edge prevents. They are narrow and they are, as others have said, kind of hard to get on.
