Pros

The slingbox 500 now communicates perfectly with my dvr box. It's being used on an older sling box hd and works just fine, allowing channel changing via the internet. This ir adapter works way better than the one that came with the unit.

In fact the responsiveness of the remote control appears to be smoother with the new ir blaster
