The ceramic blades are far less sharp than a new stainless steel blade. The only thing good, i guess, is that they stay marginally useable longer.

I had this sturdy card board box packing material from a freezer

As shown in the ad the blade slides up in the handle with only enough coming out to slice the package

And i saw on the package that company donates a percentage of sales to autism
