What it does do is leave little circle impressions on your legs if you wear shorts

The only issue i had with it was that even though the surface pro 4 is small and light its actually kind of wide with the keyboard attached it would topple off the slate until i figured out to push the slate back further and pull the surface closer so that the keyboard was slightly off the edge of the slate in the front

The right hand solid surface is perfect for a note pad or my journal or a cup of coffee although if i was left handed it would be rather a waste
