Pros

The rock and roll memoir has everything you would ever want to know about one of the greatest bands of all time. Slash, as a musician, is very talented and i can appreciate his ability to adapt and put his flavor into what he does. When you hear slash...  Read More

Absolutely recommended. Good book especially when exploring the 70s and 80s. I strongly suggest to anyone that's considering purchasing this book to do it.

It gives the gritty behind the glitz and glamour. It's that good.

Cons

It gets a little thin after a while - not to mention perhaps a little embellished. I read both duff and steven's books and both were far superior to slash's. End result is too laughable to even consider it being a serious look-see of slash's life.

The book is full of mundane and repetitive details about endless parade of nameless girls, parties and drugs. This is not an inspiring read.

I thought the true title of scumbag was mostly axl's. Slash is an incredible musician but his overindulgence got boring and sickening. Axl rose is always portrayed as the big ego and the problem with the band.
